| Pay Phones are a funny thing. They used to be absolutely neccessary before we had our cell's glued to our ears. (Sidenote: People who are on their cell phones constantly really piss me off...don't you peolple know that it is OK if you are unavailable from time to time? Ever heard of voicemail?) ANYHOW...I noticed as I was getting my lunch today that there are pay phones on every corner in this city. At first I thought....these are completely useless...but then, I thought of probably 10 occations in which I needed a pay phone since moving here 4 years ago, and each time, sure enough, there was one available. SO THANK YOU to the companies that provide and maintain pay phones...sure you probaly only make 50-75 cents a day, but we really appreciate it when we need it! |

| We have a daughter...she's French. We will have her until Wednesday. Then...next month...we are having a 17 year old son...also French...for three weeks. Mindy certainly does get us into some interesting situations. |

| I am very blessed to be getting a 5 day paid vacation to SanFrancisco. And when I say "paid vacation" I don't mean that I won't lose any pay for going, I mean my boss is paying for the flight and fancy hotel (for Mindy Too!!). Granted I will have to work on one day...but he could have just sent me out there for a day without Mindy, and instead he is sending me for the Holiday weekend +...It is nice to be appreciated and have a generous boss. |
